If you're reading this, chances are you are engaged! CONGRATULATIONS!!

What an exciting time of your life! I imagine that you're also here because you're considering a professional officiant. It's a big choice and can feel a bit overwhelming, but that's where I come in.

My name is Wes and I love to officiate weddings! More than that, I love to be a part of the beautiful story of two people joining their lives together. It's a beautiful thing and I can't get enough of it!

Picking an officiant for your wedding is a very important step. This person will be doing 90% of the talking at YOUR wedding. That's a lot. So you don't want just anyone. (Here's why). You want someone you connect with and trust. And that's always my goal.

I take the time to get to know you. I want to know your story. I want you to know mine. I want you to feel a connection so when I say the words, "You may be seated" and we begin one of the most important 15-30 minutes of your life, it will be a friend saying it, not a stranger.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why do you love weddings?
I love everything about it. Being around people on the happiest day of their life never gets old. Giving couples the ceremony that they have always dreamed of gives me life! Experiencing different cultures and beliefs has taught me so much. I truly am so grateful that I get to officiate weddings.
What denomination are you?
I am not affiliated with any denomination.
Will you do a non-religious wedding?
Yes. My job at your wedding is to marry you. It's not for me to make a point or to preach. If you have multiple faiths present or you aren't religious, I am completely fine officiating a wedding for you and making it exactly how you want it.
How much does your officiating service cost?
My fees range from $250 to $500, depending on the package you choose. I offer an elopement package and a ceremony package, and you can add extras to either one. Want the details? Check out my package service options!
Will you attend the rehearsal?
Usually, no. Most venues don’t do a formal rehearsal anymore, and any walk-through typically happens on the wedding day. If your ceremony has a lot of moving parts, I’m happy to join in. And if you want me there, we can absolutely make it happen!
How do you get your marriage license before the wedding?
Once you’re within 30 days of your wedding, you can apply for your marriage license at your local county clerk’s office. Bring two forms of government-issued ID, fill out the application, pay the fee, and you’ll leave with your license in a sealed envelope. Then just bring it to me, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Is premarital counseling required for your ceremonies?
Not at all! You’re adults, and the choice is totally yours. I do recommend it, though. It gives you a chance to talk through the big stuff, ask the hard questions, and build a strong foundation for your life together.
How long will your ceremony usually last?
That really depends on what you want! This is your day, so we’ll make it fit your vision. If you stick with the template and don’t add anything extra, your ceremony will usually run about 15 to 20 minutes.
How early do you come on the wedding day?
I typically arrive 30 minutes before the wedding. That gives me plenty of time to check out final look of the venue, sound check and go over the ceremony with both the bride and groom.
What do you wear to the wedding?
A suit. I typically will try and match what the groomsmen are wearing. So if they aren't wearing a jacket, I might take my jacket off as well. I don't want to be underdressed or overdressed.
What is your goal when you officiate a wedding?
Besides making sure you are legally married, my goal is to make sure the ceremony at your wedding is everything you dreamed it to be. This is YOUR wedding and it should happen how you have dreamed it would happen. This isn't about me or anyone else. It's OK to be a little selfish on your wedding day!
